My daughter’s 8th birthday party was Harry Potter themed (there are still banners and Hogwarts letters hanging up in my living room), she reads the books each night, and we listen to the audiobooks in the car. And we’re waiting (not very patiently) for the release of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: Illustrated Edition, which will be released by Bloomsbury Publishing on October 3rd, 2017.
Earlier this month, we finally got to take a peek at the cover art and it’s GORGEOUS. I was hoping that the Knight Bus would be featured and I wasn’t disappointed.
Now I just have to wait to see if one of my other theories about the illustrated series will be fulfilled: If you take the jacket off Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the actual book cover is red, while Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets has a orange cover.
Do you see where I’m going with this?
I predict that Prisoner of Azkaban will have a yellow cover, because I believe each book, side by side, will create a rainbow. (I’m going to ignore the fact that this mockup doesn’t seem to have a yellow inner cover, because each of the previous mockups didn’t show the cover colour either.)
I see your ROYGBIV cleverness, Bloomsbury! But I’ll have to wait until the fall to know for sure.
PS. If you’re feeling antsy, you can click here to count down the days with us. We. Can’t. Wait.
Edited to add: Sigh. The cover is purple. There goes that theory 😉
