This week I took the online Jeopardy test. It’s pretty much been my lifelong goal to end up on an episode of the show, so you might guess that trivia is a big hobby of mine.
I love learning new facts, discovering things I’ve never heard of before and diving in to find out more, and playing games like Trivial Pursuit to hone my skills.
If you also love to learn and find science fascinating, I think you’re going to love this week’s Flip Through Thursday feature, The Ecology Book. This book is from DK’s Big Ideas series (you can find more titles here) and it’s hard to put down.
There are so many fascinating things discussed inside its 300+ pages — this is a book that has been camping out on our coffee table and in the kitchen because we all keep picking it up to browse through some more.

This week we have a giveaway up over on Instagram if you’d like to win your own copy of The Ecology Book! Just click here to enter. This giveaway is open to Canadians, so be sure to share it with friends.
There’s nothing like an engaging book to really inspire learning to take place, no matter what age or place you are in life. Whether you’re wanting to learn something new or you’re hoping your teens might pick this book up to discover a new interest, this series is a great one to have around the house.
I’m not afraid to admit that books like this sometimes end up in the bathroom at our house — let’s face it, this is probably a better use of time in that particular place than tapping away on our phones and iPods, right? Learning is learning, no matter where you do it. 😉
Don’t forget to enter the giveaway and if you’ve read any of the books from this series already, I’d love to know what you think. Comment below and let me know. Take care!
Join us each week when we feature a new book or series for Flip Through Thursday. Thank you to DK for sending over books for us to check out each month. This is not a sponsored post. This post contains affiliate links.
