These hand embroidered hoops from Embroiderwee would look amazing in your kid’s room.

There are so many incredibly talented makers and entrepreneurs in Canada and I wanted to start a new series dedicated to showing off their amazing wares — so today, the So Canada series begins at So Fawned.

The first business we’re showcasing for So Canada is Embroiderwee, out of Waterdown, Ontario.

Their colourful, hand embroidered alphabet is what caught my eye first, and if you’re a holiday junkie (like I definitely am) you’ll probably love their Christmas ornament designs too.

What I love most about their alphabet designs is that not only would they look perfect in a nursery or in a toddler’s room, these are pieces that will look great in a school aged child’s room as well. You can also custom order your keepsake in the colour of your choice!

Shawne Bennett is the owner at Embroiderwee and the heart behind each piece that gets shipped out.

From her bio:

“I truly enjoy the sweet things in life and the art of embroidery certainly is one of them. My goods are all created one at a time, by hand and with much love by myself in my little workshop in

I think these handcrafted hoops would make a great baby shower gift — or for the upcoming holiday season, of course!

Thanks for hanging out for our very first edition of So Canada. I can’t wait to share the next!

If you know of a shop you think we’d LOVE, feel free to tweet or email us and we’ll take a peek. So Canada will return weekly on Saturdays to spread a little love through the Canuck indie community.
