October has arrived, which means Halloween is officially on our minds! This is a month filled with pumpkins, spiders, ghosts, candy, and more… but before the big night arrives there’s plenty of time to try out some fun new Halloween crafts!
Today I wanted to share a selection of Halloween craft ideas that I can’t wait to make with my daughter. We live in a rural area, so we won’t have any trick-or-treaters knocking on our door come October 31st, BUT we will be decorating the farmhouse with some seasonal crafts… it’s too fun not to!
Halloween Crafts For Kids
Gauze Mummy via Mommy Savers — You can use gauze or crepe paper for this one!
Mummy Tubes via Outnumbered — I love those little eyes!
Painted Pasta Boneyard Wreath via Happy Hooligans — I love how spooky those “bones” look! I think adding glitter to the paint might be a fun idea too!
Googly-Eyed Spiders via A Little Delightful — These spiders are just too cute! You could suspend them from strings to decorate any room.
Spider Sacks via Modern Parents Messy Kids — Definitely one of my favourite ideas. These look complicated, but are super simple to pull off effectively. I could see making a strand of these and inserting a strand of lights to make a glowing string of spider sacks!
Marshmallow Ghosts via No Time For Flash Cards — You could also use cotton balls if you worry about little ones munching on marshmallows.
Yard Spider Webs via Small For Big — I love the use of real sticks here. Definitely add a rustic quality to this simple, yet beautiful craft idea.
Balloon Ghouls via Spoonful — Could be a great way to use up scrap material! Waste not!
Pumpkin Craft via Bits Of Everything — This link is filled with fun ideas for exploring the senses using pumpkins!
When I was in elementary school I can remember making tissue paper ghosts and decorating our classroom with them. I LOVED Halloween so much and seeing my little ghosts floating around the room was pretty much the neatest thing I could imagine.
Happy Halloween crafting, friends!
